Scenic South Africa and Swaziland (JK05)

South Africa has one of the most unique and diverse tourism products in the world. This wonderful land has so much to offer in terms of Wildlife, scenery, diversity of our people, natural wilderness and unspoiled beauty. South Africa really is a world in one country.

DAY ONE (Thursday)   Johannesburg
Arrive Johannesburg, transferred to hotel. Leisure time, then transfer to Gold Reef City and learn about South Africa's gold mining industry, even experience a trip down a real mine shaft. (Overnight JOHANNESBURG)

DAY TWO (Friday)   Johannesburg to Pilgrims Rest / Hazyview
Travel to Middelburg to visit the South Ndebele village at the Botshabelo Mission Station. Next stop will be the historic mining village of Pilgrims Rest.(Overnight PILGRIMS REST / HAZYVIEW)

DAY THREE (Saturday)   Pilgrims Rest/Hazyview to Kruger National Park
Visit Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window, Kruger National Park, for an afternoon game drive. (Overnight KRUGER NATIONAL PARK)

DAY FOUR (Sunday)   Kruger National Park
Day is spent game viewing and savouring the magic of the bushveld, with stops at picturesque rest camps. (Overnight KRUGER NATIONAL PARK)

DAY FIVE (Monday)   Kruger National Park to Swaziland
After an early morning game drive, depart for the Kingdom of Swaziland. Travel the mountain route via Piggs Peak and Mbabane, to descend into the scenic Ezulwini Valley(Overnight EZULWINI VALLEY)

DAY SIX (Tuesday)   Swaziland to Hluhluwe
Depart Swaziland to re-enter South Africa and travel through northern Kwa Zulu Natal to Hluhluwe. (Overnight HLUHLUWE)

DAY SEVEN (Wednesday)   Hluhluwe to Durban
Depart for Zululand with a lunch stop at an authentic Zulu village. Continue through sugar cane fields to the city of Durban. (Overnight DURBAN)

DAY EIGHT (Thursday)   Durban
Tour of the city, including the Golden Mile, the Botanical Gardens and the bustling Indian Market. Afternoon at leisure to explore the shopping centres, visit the Dolphinarium, or relax on the golden beaches (Overnight DURBAN)

DAY NINE (Friday)   Durban to Knysna
Depart on morning flight to Port Elizabeth. There you will be met and taken on a short tour of the city, before departing for the Garden Route. Visit the Tsitsikamma Coastal National Park and travel through indigenous forests and the Old Passes Road via Plettenberg Bay to the coastal town of Knysna. (Overnight KNYSNA)

DAY TEN (Saturday)   Knysna to George
Explore Knysna before taking a boat trio on the Knysna Lagoon. Continue via the Lake District to Wilderness or take a ride on the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe Steam Train (Overnight GEORGE)

DAY ELEVEN (Sunday)   George to Mossel Bay
Travel through the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Visit the Cango Caves. Lunch on an ostrich farm. Return to the coast via the Robinson Pass and continue to Mossel Bay.(Overnight MOSSEL BAY)

DAY TWELVE (Monday)   Mossel Bay to Cape Town
Visit Bontebok National Park, Swellendam in route to Cape Town. Travel via Hermanus and the spectacular coastal route of False Bay. (Overnight CAPE TOWN)

DAY THIRTEEN (Tuesday)   Cape Town
Explore the Cape Peninsula, including Camps Bay, Hout Bay and a drive over Chapman's Peak. Visit Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Simonstown and Groot Constantia, the Cape's oldest wine farm. Walk through Kirstenbosch, one of the world,s great botanical gardens. (Overnight CAPE TOWN)

DAY FOURTEEN (Wednesday)   Cape Town
Enjoy a cable car trip up Table Mountain (weather permitting) before setting off on a full day tour of the Winelands, visiting Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschoek, including cellar tour and wine tasting. (Overnight CAPE TOWN)

DAY FIFTEEN (Thursday)   Cape Town
Enjoy the mother city and visit the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, where you will find a variety of pubs, restaurants craft markets and shops. You also have the choice of visiting the fascinating underwater world at the Two Oceans Aquarium. Transfer to Cape Town International Airport.
