Namibia (JT24)
Namibia, formerly Southwest Africa, wedged between
South Africa and Angola, is bigger than Texas and about four times bigger
than the United Kingdom. It is a country of almost perpetual sunshine. Having
gained its independence from South Africa in March 1990, Namibia today is the
ideal country it visit to experience Africa in all its facets.
DAY ONE Windhoek
Transfer on arrival at Windhoek International
Airport to a city hotel for assistance with check in. Balance of the morning
at leisure. Afternoon tour with visits to the Tintenpalast, historic seat of

DAY TWO Windhoek to
Sossusvlei
Depart after breakfast by road to Sossusvlei
in the heart of the Namib desert. The Namib is one of the oldest deserts in
the world and home to unique fauna and flora. Afternoon nature drive.

DAY THREE Sossusvlei
Depart before sunrise to the dune area of
Sossusvlei, a dried out clay basin, surrounded by some of the highest dunes
in the world. The pan fills with water in the rainy season attracting birds,
oryx, springbok and ostrich. (Overnight SOSSUSVLEI) (BD)
DAY FOUR Sossusvlei to
Swakopmund
Depart after breakfast for Swakopmund,
Namibia's most popular coastal resort. Afternoon at leisure for relaxation on
the beach or a self guided walking tour of the town with its many turn of the
century buildings depicting Swakopmund's German colonial past. (Overnight SWAKOPMUND)

DAY FIVE Swakopmund
Breakfast in the hotel before departing on a
full day desert tour which will include visits to the Moon Landscape, the
oasis at Goanikontes, the unique Welwitschia mirabilis plants and Walvis Bay.

DAY SIX Swakopmund to
Khorixas
Depart after breakfast via Henties Bay to

DAY SEVEN Khorixas
A full day of sightseeing, visiting the
Petrified Forest, Burnt Mountain and the rock paintings at Twyfelfontein.

Etosha National Park
Breakfast at Khorixas before departing for
Etosha National Park. Lunch on arrival followed by a late afternoon game

National Park
A full day game viewing in Etosha National
